DeFeo Retrospective at SFMOMA


Jay DeFeo (1929-89) retrospective opened at SFMOMA today, travels to Whitney next year. One of the greats! Saint Jay worked on her masterpiece 'The Rose" for 8 years; it weighed a ton and then was lost. Made paintings of her own false teeth.
